Kimberly M. McCommon
PILOT, JETBLUE AIRWAYS
Kimberly is a 22-year veteran of the aviation industry. She has worked as a customer service representative, flight attendant, and pilot with United Airlines, Fedex Corporation, Northwest Airlines (nee Delta), ExpressJet Airlines and JetBlue Airways respectively. She has also worked in the corporate aviation as a charter pilot. She received a BS in Business Administration from Florida A&M University and an MA in Training & Development from Roosevelt University before completing pilot training at Western Michigan University. She is from and currently resides in Chicago, IL, where in her spare time, she works as a Program Director for the AeroStars Exploration Apprenticeship Program which teaches inner-city high school students about aviation and STEM-related curriculum. Kim also travels around the US speaking to students of all ages about aviation as well as teaching aviation at summer camps. She is a member of the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals, Women in Aviation, Inc and AOPA.
